The First Week after Hospital Discharge First Office Follow-Up Visit

The first office visit postpartum often requires extra time to allow for breastfeeding questions, counseling about infant feeding patterns, cues and signs of feeding adequacy, and to troubleshoot issues such as sore nipples and engorgement.
